I started playing guitar in 2006. I picked up a six-string bass a couple years after that, and have been playing and recording constantly since.
I like to work with synths and samples in my recordings, and experiment in a variety of genres. I enjoy taking field recordings and I tend to get a lot of neat sounds that way. I do all of my recordings on the PC, using FL Studio, Adobe Audition, and a bunch of VST plugins. I really dig 8-bit synths and ambient pads. On the real instruments side of things, I use electric guitar, acoustic guitar, and my heavily customized Douglas 6-string bass.
I had a really neat set of drums from 2008-2009 but I had to sell them. I really like playing the drums, and eventually I'd like to have a set again and maybe play for other bands/projects.
I enjoy playing with other people, and I've had the chance to work with some great musicians. I've also had a few solo projects (mostly extinct now). Below are the projects I'm working on and also some from the past.

This is my latest project; a two-piece with drummer Andii Plemmons. The sound is experimental metal with melodic ambient moments.

Swageworks is progressive 8-bit ambient rock. Bass, synths, sampled beats, and lots of noises. I finished an EP and an album under this name before it kind of rolled over and died. It might return in the future with new sounds and/or members but for now it's frozen in time.

Experimental/Progressive/Math/Jam/Rock. The band had to be broken up due to half of the members moving away. While it was alive we had a great time with it though. I took pride in our live sound, and don't feel like the real sound of the band was ever captured in recordings, (which is a bummer because we probably won't be recording again). We all keep in contact though, so who knows... RIP for now JBIS.

Axon Soundworks is our recording studio. It's located in Gilbert SC. We specialize in recording metal bands, but we're not limited to any genre. Come out and record your stuff! I lay down tracks and Andii mixes and masters them.
